CoAlive is dedicated to improving community health and wellness in Lower Eastern Kenya. This is achieved through:
• Community Hygiene initiatives, including hand washing and menstrual hygiene education, aim to prevent disease and promote dignity.
• Water Safety by advocating for clean and safe water practices. In partnership with local providers
• Community Health Education programs that address vital health issues through partnerships with local health providers and hospitals. Some of the activities include health awareness campaigns, community education on key and common health practices, and support for maternal and child health programs.
• Healthy and nutritious dieting through the promotion of a plant-based diet that everyone can easily have access to healthier living and food security
• Food Literacy programs such as cooking, meal planning, and local food preservation demonstrations.
• Mental Health Awareness supports emotional resilience and well-being in the community through awareness raising on mental health challenges and solutions and the provision of safe spaces for chats on emotional well-being.
